Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this conference, participants will be able to:
- Define which screening tests should be ordered on which group of patients to identify patients that possibly could have CKD.
- Describe the diseases and treatments that should be prescribed to treat these diseases to decrease the risk of CKD.
- Explain which diagnostic test results and symptoms should prompt a physician to refer the patient to a nephrologist.
- Describe the benefits of early diagnosis and treatment of Diabetes, Hypertension, and CKD.
- Explain how depression, sexuality and psychosocial issues affect CKD and ESRD.
- Discuss the benefits and burdens of electronic medical records.
